Viigo has released an update for their popular (and pretty awesome) RSS reader for the BlackBerry. The latest update promises significant improvements in both memory usage and performance, most notably on the BlackBerry Bold.

Viigo has also added a new Emergency Services section under Local Interests offering global breaking news alerts, earthquake and storm watch monitoring, FEMA & Homeland Security bulletins and other Emergency feeds. Viigo promises future updates that will include local concert listings, job listings, movie showtimes and more.
