The BlackBerry Curve has long been the sweet spot of form factors , but even the new BlackBerry Curve 8900 lacks 3G speeds of the Bold and Storm. It appears that RIM is working a BlackBerry Curve that supports 3G. Codenamed the BlackBerry Gemini, this new Curve will the BlackBerry 9300. The 9XXX line of BlackBerries is reserved for 3G devices.

Slacker today announced the immediate availability of Slacker Radio for the BlackBerry Storm. Slacker Radio is a free download and allows you to listen to over 100 stations programmed by music experts or your own custom stations. In addition, you'll have detailed artist biographies, album reviews and the music can be stored on your BlackBerry for times when you might not have a connection.
Google today announced a new Maps tool called Google Latitude that will allow BlackBerry users to automatically track friends. Latitude will debut on Android phones later this week as part of the T-Mobile G1 R33 update. No official word when Google Latitude be available for the BlackBerry. Photos of the upcoming BlackBerry Pearl 8320 for Verizon have been leaked courtesy of BGR. According to the report, testing units of the BlackBerry 8320 are in the field, so a release in the not so distant future does seem plausible.
