BlackBerry Bold Review

Posted by: Christopher Meinck

The BlackBerry Bold 9000 was one of the most highly anticipated releases from RIM in years. Originally slated for a late summer release, the BlackBerry Bold was finally made available to customers in the US in early November.  So, was it worth the wait?

<

There is speculation over at BGR that RIM pushed flashed a non-final version of the Storm OS (4.7.0.65) after they found a potential security issue with the final release (4.7.0.82). This would certainly make sense as early speed tests show significant lag time and major issues with the accelerometer. Rotating from landscape to portrait mode takes entirely too long. Not to worry, as Mobility Today is reported that an OTA update is set to hit Monday. So much for the quiet after the Storm. Okay, I'm done with the puns.

Just get your Storm? Join the BlackBerry Storm group over in the BlackBerry Social. Only here at Everything Berry. Join today and also enjoy our BlackBerry forums.

According to a Verizon CSR, the BlackBerry Storm is sold out. Verizon is reportedly telling customers that Storm stock will not be replenished until December 5th. Best Buy is filling their pre-order sales today, so their official on-sale date is tomorrow. If you are storm chasing, your best bet might just be Best Buy.

We're guessing that many of our readers scooped up the BlackBerry Storm today as it went on sale today at Verizon Wireless or via pre-order at Best Buy. Sure there have been plenty of unboxing videos, so why not one more for good measure. Stay tuned as we'll have more Storm coverage in the coming days and weeks ahead. Just in time for the Storm release, we've launched BlackBerry Social at Everything Berry. Join our BlackBerry forums and you can also enjoy the benefits of BlackBerry Social. Groups, Networking, Photo Sharing and more.
