According to a document that outlines Verizon's online training schedule, employees can take part in a BlackBerry Storm course on October 17th. The course concludes on November 2nd. We had been hearing rumblings of a November 1st launch and this latest information falls in line with that release date. No word yet on price from either RIM or Verizon.

Screenshots have emerged courtesy of BGR that are reportedly from a Vodafone BlackBerry Storm. Not much to see here and that's reason for concern if these are indeed the real deal. For a phone that is positioned to compete against the iPhone, we'd at least expect some flashy icons.

Verizon will be the first US carrier to deliver the BlackBerry Storm and it's expected to be on shelves sometime in early November. Outside of the US, the standard is GSM and the Verizon Storm is CDMA flavored, so where does that leave the rest of the world. It appears that RIM has GSM version of the Storm already in the works as evidenced by the leaked datasheet. This could be marketed as the Thunder, but it's definitely in the BlackBerry 9500 family.

Now that Verizon has come clean about the BlackBerry Storm, it appears more information is leaking out of big red, the latest in the forum of a BlackBerry Storm pre-launch datasheet. Nothing exciting to see here, but a reference to November 1st, the date which was rumored to be the launch date.

A few days ago, we mentioned that Verizon Wireless had emailed their employees about an exciting announcement. Storm clouds were a sure fire giveaway that it was certainly something BlackBerry Storm related. Verizon has indeed launched www.verizonwireless.com/storm, but it's nothing more than affirmation that the Storm exists and allows you enter your email address for more information when it's availalble. As of now, still no official release dates from Verizon, but stay tuned and we'll of course pass along info as it becomes availalble.

Verizon has been circulating an email internally that hints at exciting news coming on 9.15.08. The email reads, "We've got some exciting news to share...". Sources point to Verizon launching www.verizonwireless.com/storm, followed by a product launch of the BlackBerry Storm on November 1st.

The BlackBerry Storm has reportedly entered Verizon's TA (technical acceptance), which normally takes 3-4 weeks to complete. Internally the device has been delayed 3-4 weeks while they work out the kinks. This puts the release date for the BlackBerry Storm at mid-November. You can bet that Verizon will look to get this device into stores before Black Friday. Look for a major ad push when it releases.
