It's tough to keep track of RIM's codenames and now it's just as difficult to keep track of actual product names. The latest rumor has the BlackBerry 9630, codenamed Niagra, will be be marketed as the BlackBerry Tour. RIM is sponsoring U2 this summer, so it certainly seems plausible.

Anyone ready for the BlackBerry Tour on Verizon?  According the source, the BlackBerry Tour will go on tour starting this summer.

More news coming out on the upcoming BlackBerry for Verizon, codenamed 'Niagra'. BGR sources call it a cross between the BlackBerry Bold and the Curve 8900. Bigger than a Curve, but smaller than the Bold. Sound good? It will bring the Bold's 480x320 high resolution screen and the 624MHz CPU. Release date still appears to be on target for May.

Just last week, we let you know about the "Buy One, Get One Free" BlackBerry promotion at Verizon and now comes a price drop for those interested in just one BlackBerry Storm. Amazon has cut the price on the Verizon BlackBerry Storm to just $99.99.

Starting tomorrow, Verizon Wireless will run a BlackBerry BOGO sale or buy one, get one free. The promotion will include all BlackBerry devices including the BlackBerry Storm. Full details courtesy of BGR after the break.

Photos of the upcoming BlackBerry Pearl 8320 for Verizon have been leaked courtesy of BGR. According to the report, testing units of the BlackBerry 8320 are in the field, so a release in the not so distant future does seem plausible.

BlackBerry Storm Review

Posted by: Christopher Meinck

The BlackBerry Storm released just over a week ago here in the US on Verizon Wireless and represents a major departure from what we’ve come to expect from a BlackBerry. Gone is the QWERTY keyboard, replaced with a super large 480x360 pixel display  and a new clickable screen or what BlackBerry likes to call SurePress. Is it enough to leave your current BlackBerry or perhaps prevent those who were considering a jump to the iPhone? Read on for our comprehensive review of the BlackBerry Storm.

There is speculation over at BGR that RIM pushed flashed a non-final version of the Storm OS (4.7.0.65) after they found a potential security issue with the final release (4.7.0.82). This would certainly make sense as early speed tests show significant lag time and major issues with the accelerometer. Rotating from landscape to portrait mode takes entirely too long. Not to worry, as Mobility Today is reported that an OTA update is set to hit Monday. So much for the quiet after the Storm. Okay, I'm done with the puns.
