BlackBerry Myths BustedOver the years, there have been many BlackBerry myths which have been debunked as more and more people become dedicated and loyal BlackBerry users each and every day. All BlackBerry wireless devices work well to keep you connected everyday and everywhere. When you use a BlackBerry device for your communications needs, you stay connected not only with enhanced cell phone capabilities but with real time instant and text messaging, emailing, Internet browsing, and even intranet-based applications. The BlackBerry may have had plenty of critics at its introduction in the late 1990s, but today, it is known to be one of the most reliable wireless handheld communications devices available. One of the most prevalent BlackBerry myths is that the BlackBerry wireless device has a poor quality screen. In the past, with the early versions of the BlackBerry, the view screen was not up to par. It was by no means the worst screen users had ever used, but when compared to today’s models, it was simply poor. Today, BlackBerry offers a bright screen version and a dim screen version of many of its models. For example, the BlackBerry 7290, 7250, and 7100 all offer a bright screen with excellent quality. In fact, the new screens are very easy on the eyes and can be easily viewed even in direct sunlight. Another common myth based on earlier models of the BlackBerry is that the BlackBerry is only good for email usage. Today, this is simply not true. The sound quality of the BlackBerry 8700 and 7130 is excellent. New and improved voice facilities in the BlackBerry makes it the perfect choice for those consumers who wish to access email, Internet, applications, and voice applications all in one sleek and compact device. It has also been said that there is not a significant amount of software for the BlackBerry. In the past, this myth may have been true however today there are more than one thousand programs available. The same is true for the chat programs, of which there are more than twenty available. In fact, not only are there many software programs designed specifically for the BlackBerry, however the BlackBerry has the capability to accept the installation of Nokia, Motorola, Sony, Samsung, and Siemens java phone software as well. The ability to install these programs on the BlackBerry solidifies the fact that it is a truly convenient and versatile communications device. Other common myths about the BlackBerry wireless device is that you need a dedicated server to use the BlackBerry successfully, that the BlackBerry is not ideal for instant messaging, that the BlackBerry is not good for PIM, and that the BlackBerry is unable to be used for Internet applications. These are just several of the many BlackBerry myths that circulate today. If you are truly interested in a BlackBerry for your communications and connectivity solutions, you should do your own research about the devices and read plenty of both product and user reviews. Remember, an educated consumer is a wise consumer. |
