RIM Set To Announce BlackBerry 9000 Next Week

By: Christopher Meinck
May 9, 2008

It appears that RIM will officially announce the BlackBerry 9000 to the general public May 12th at WES.

While we don't expect any carrier announcements at that time, RIM will use this event to announce the new BlackBerry 9000. WES (Wireless Enterprise Symposium) started a small eductational conference for BlackBerry customers to an event that covers a broader range of networking and wireless technology. Mike Lazaridis, President of RIM, is expected to speak on May 13th, so it's surprising to hear the announcement surrounding the BlackBerry 9000 will happen when the conference opens. Either way, we should have some official news next week regarding the BlackBerry 9000.
