This is a direct link to the download page so you can do an OTA installation. I read that the author is in the process of putting together a FAQ page so there is really nothing else but a link to the download and another program he authored, SMS QuickCompose. The claim is that up to 5MB or more can be reclaimed, depending on exactly which files you choose to delete
I suggest you read the review and instructions before jumping in. I am thinking this holiday weekend may be a good time to try this out.
A number of cautions:
1) Make sure you have a full backup before trying anything like this. You should look at the Advanced Backup to be sure you know what is being backed up.
2) If you are on BES,
DO NOT remove MDS.
3) If you choose to remove the VAD (Voice Activated Dialing) then Options > About will be disabled. Note that you can still access that information by two different shortcuts:
-Hold Alt + press E then A then C then E (opens the "Help Me" screen), or
-Alt +Caps + H (opens the "Help Me" screen
4) No one will accept responsibility for any loss of data or any issues that may arise from installing this. INSTALL AND USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
