Could you just post what is plenty of memory. I have found the 8830 can start to act funky when the free memory drops below 10mb, which seems like it should be plenty.

Can you clarify what you mean by downgrading would solve it? Do you mean the device (back to the 8700?), the software version or the server software version? It does look like the device software version is pretty current.

I assume you have tried the basic hard reset (battery pull with the handheld on, count to 20 and replace the battery)? Have you tried resending the service books? I also assume all of the devices are on the same IT policy.

I will think about the issue and search around in the interim....
