I see many other apps on the Storm that use DirectTCP and thats just considered phone traffic. I figure verizon may have some interlace to see what your phone is up to.

I already pay $15 for tethering and its capped and im looking into purchasing pdanet for BB scince i had it on my motoQ (sprint).

What do you guys think?

VZW does have an "unlimited" usage, but in the fine print there is a 5GB threshold that they reserve the right to cut you off at as it is considered excessive and improper usage. They used to have the limit at 15GB, then 10GB, and now 5GB.

I wasn't aware PDANet was available for BBs. It was a great little program for my old Treo. Take a look and let us know if it ismade for BBs, but I don't think so.

Finally, what is it you think using a PDANet-type program will do for you? The account usage will still exceed the 5GB if you have tethering and try using a different vehicle. I am not clear what you think it will do for you...
