Sounds like you have your contacts, calendar, etc. installed and backed up now and that is a good thing.

What should you do now? Enjoy your new toy!

Please take some time to explore this site and see what has been posted. There are some good posts that will give you ideas. Make sure you check out the thread I started on free software sites here. Also take a look at the Tips and Tricks sticky here.

Did you get your mail set up? I am assuming you are a BIS user, not a corporate BES user?

What are you planning to use your Pearl for? Are you a texter? Do you have friends with BBs and if so, are you aware of the PIN message feature?

How about posting your experiences as you go. Share the good and the not so good (if that happens). There is a bit of a learning curve going from a Treo to the BB, but I am very pleased.

A couple of things I am guessing you won't miss are the freezes and resets...

I did find the BB had a great deal more settings to play with. Almost too many, but I have reached a point I am happy with the way it is set up. I have also found the battery life of my 8830 to be far superior to the Treo. Certainly some of that is due to no touchscreen, but I have become very proficient at one-hand navigation since there is no need to tap the screen.

One big difference is the inability to store programs and data on the SD card as you could with the Treo, but that is rumored to be changed when OS 4.5 is released, "any day, week, month".

How is the suretype for you?

Hello SteveTaz! Just perusing some of the posts, waiting for a mild hangover to subside, saw this one and your post left me wondering about PIN messaging, could you be so kind as to elaborate?

Thanks,
