Well, you're not going to believe this, but I think I ckracked it. I'm not really sure which one of all the things I did worked, but the BB browser is now working with my wifi.

I hope you get your BB WiFi setup problems corrected. I am going to guess you will.

    Back on my computer... lol

Anyway, yeah, I did a ton of things. Among them, a power cycle with full battery removal, setting the browser's default to Hotspot browser, and doing everything again.

Now it works. Opera is still an issue as I checked the IP I'm browsing from and I appear to be going through some sort of proxy from Opera and I don't really know why.

If you have Opera, can you visit this address and see what number it says? www.ipchicken.com

Also, having a web server in your house is not that big of a deal. You can probably figure it out in a day, especially if you know a thing or two about Linux.

Let me know if you need help doing that. I can show you how.

Glad you got it working in spite of my "help" LOL...

I am not an Opera user so I can't help with the address question.

I appreciate the offer, but it will be a long time before I get to play with that webserver thing. Starting a bathroom renovation in three weeks, then I have a second one and eventually the kitchen.

Looks like I am booked with no play time available for some time....

Try turning your device off, taking out the battery & sim card and putting everything back together as a first step.
