Unhappy software updates 8830

This is my first RIM based cell phone, and to tel the truth I never thought I would miss windows based systems so much. I do everything with my cell from meetings, work assignments not to mention every day life and it, was all so much easier with windows based systems.

With the blackberry there is a price for everything! I don't mind the prices but pay pay pay gets old. Wish I had done a little more research. Boy do I miss the camera. I listened to a few to many people unsatisfied with their tero's and got stuck with a phone that just doesn't meet my needs

What fees are you talking about? I have the 8830 (and I miss the camera a lot too), but I find it very useful. Maybe its because I switched from the LG chocolate to the 8830 and this is my first smart phone...

Hi,
I just switched over from a treo 755. In the past I have a total of 6 palm phones. I work for the gov. and I'm not allowed to take a camera phone on base. I bought a 8830 WE, For the first couple days didn't know if i could get used to it but after a couple weeks I'm loving it.
I tried windows mobile for about a week. Couldn't stand it personally, It froze more then palm.
I have most of the apps I had on the treo on the 8830. I just upgraded to the 4.5 and really like it. Give it a little more time you might start liking it.

Hi 240zron:

I recognize your member name from ET and I welcome you to EB.

I too made the switch back in March and I am "one with my 8830". After three years with the Treo650 I am tickled with the stability of the BB platform.

Make sure you check out the Tips and Tricks sticky if you haven't already. There is also an Email one as well as a few others sprinkled around.

I hope you enjoy your time here and that you visit and post often....
