Exclamation Bt :(

dayum.... was on a long @ss call and my headset separated into 2 pieces, it's the Plantronics 520 (bestest headset i found so far besides from the fact that the BB does not sent the ring tone to it..)

it's the transparent rubber ear hook cames loose of the black hard plastic part.. this blows, i might try and glue it. (not really in the mood to go find and try on headsets as i did in the past.. )

/mini rant (which is not at all ruin my good mood :}

It just split? Wow lol. That sucks.

At least you're still happy about the other thing. ;-)

Bummer and not a replaceable item:

The ear loop for these models are not removable or available as a replacement part.

If the ear loop on your Explorer headset is broken or defective, then the complete headset will need to be replaced

I know I love my Plantronics Discovery 640....

thanks steve... i think it's glue'able but the bossman said he would buy me a new one. i think i tried the 640 (at one time Plantronics shipped me whatever i wanted to test :} and the 520 was hands down the absolute winner. i'm liking -how it looks- the headset in that smaller pic, what's that ? do you know ?

you might be right (again), without searching... what was it that prevents the 520 to let me hear the ring tone ? not a deal breaker as i really liked the instant perfect fit and overall performance of it...

but who knows.

That was an expensive BT HS you had. I can't believe it just fell apart.

and i can't believe it's still this expensive... after a year, the one i had before this one -Plantronics 510- is even more expensive and older to boot...

ps. i've had it close to or a little longer then 1 year... wear it 5 days a week, so it held out pretty good :}

That's not bad but considering it doesn't have really any movable parts (I think?) it shouldn't just break.
