Have you seen the latest accessory???
Hi All:
Well, just when I thought I have seen it all, here comes the Nubrella:
Here is a link to the WashingtonPost.com story.
This actually forms a cocoon around the wearer, or so the claim is. There is a shoulder strap "option" that allows hands-free protection leaving the wearer able to use a BB or do other things requiring the use of one's hands.
How long before we start hearing about pedestrians walking into cars, buildings or each other?
I just can't see this catching on, but I never did buy a pet rock either. Maybe I should get in on the ground floor and make sure it doesn't succeed??? $60?

I do wonder if they have sold any....
We are starting to hear the stories of people being injured by walking into poles, buildings, cars other pedestrians and the like. These are being documented all over in emergency rooms.
And that is without using this silly dumbrella. Maybe we need legislation to stop "texting while walking"....NOT (Just my opinion)........However, it would appear we do have to protect people from themselves and others.

I totally agree SteveTaz. Walking whilst texting should b outlawed. The powers that b, have already established that texting whilst driving is a finable offence (in Australia), so why is texting whilst walking whilst smoking whilst sipping on a latte whilst crossing the raod with your children acceptable?? Don't get me wrong, my life is so much the better for my mobile, but I do try and use a bit of discretion and common sense.

Discretion and common sense....Hmmmmm.
Here in the States it is so much easier to blame others. Why, if I shouldn't be texting while I walk they should have warned me. It was irresponsible of the manufacturer to include a keyboard that works while I walk. Not even a warning label!!!
I am not aware of a suit like that, but give it time.....

True....there will definately be a law suit some time in the very near future. Look, I foresee that before long we will have to take out third party insurance on our mobiles, so that in the event that someone does walk into someone or a car and cause damage, that claims can be made and restitution paid. It may sound excessively bizzare, but I do believe it will come to that some day.

I suppose I already have that in a way....an Umbrella Policy (supplements the liability on all other policies).
Interesting policy type given the start of this thread!!!
