    App memory issues

I know I have made atleast 1 topic about this, but its starting to irk me. It seems every day my app memory regresses slightly. When I first installed .266 I had 40 mbs after my first battery pull. Stayed there for about 2 more BPs then went down to 37. Couple days later it was at 35 MBs. Now after the last BP I did about 10 mins ago it sits at 32 MBs.

I guess I don't quite understand, I have a minimal amount of apps, and the only one that runs constantly is my L theme, which is used by many people, and no one complains about any memory leaks.

So I guess I'm asking, what exactly effects app memory? What could cause the app memory to regress from BP to BP? Is there perhaps an option I have selected that takes up app memory? I guess I'm just alittle confused. Is this normal?

Instead of worrying about the numbers, how is the BB running? Stable?

Give it a couple days to see if it levels off at a certain point....

    Just a thought....

It would run well, but then would regress and with in about 3 hours i needed another BP. I just ended up uninstalling all the 3rd party apps i had, and themes. Then went through a guide to improve my phones memory that i found. Reinstalled my 3rd party apps. And then just went with a different theme. Not sure what helped the most, but now it rarely deviates from 40. Was a pain though haha.

If the theme was created with the beta Plazmic Themebuilder 4.7 that could have been it.

    What apps did you delete?

I deleted a lot, but put them back on. The ones I kept off are Gold Card Casino. NY Knicks Media reader. That crappy youtube app with the weird name. And the crackberry appstore. I took that off because it didn't work though. I kept Pandora, iHeat radio, google maps, Bolt, Quick Pull and downloade MyWeather Mobile and the theme I'm currently using called the "Bold Iconic" I believe. Which is amazing by the way. The best one I've used.

Let's see how your memory does now. Be careful of weather apps as they do usually run in the background in order to get updates.

I am not familiar with the one you have, but I do know WeatherBug was a notorious memory hog....

Yeah BeWeather ran in the background. Was a nice program, but I decided it didn't need to know the temp constantly. My new one turns on and off, loads extremely quick and has a nice radar imagery also.

I'm not sure what was sucking the memory out. I'm guessing one of the 2 themes I had or the media reader. But so far, everything seems to be running smoothly. So I am a happy man lol
