By the way guys, you can reformat any picture you find that you want as your wallpaper to fit the Bold and older model Curves and Pearls through the blackberrycool.com wallpaper generator
http://www.blackberrycool.com/wallpapers/
They don't yet have the Storm and newer model Curve working with it but it should happen soon I would think.

or you can do it the long way. This was posted by member Technarch on HoFo (have to give credit where it is due)
Note the sizes shown are for the Bold but can be changed to fit whatever device you have.
1. Use a program to convert it down to 16 bit colour. (GraphicConverterX on OS X can do this, depthdither on windows is a PS plugin that can also).
3. Save the above image as a png
3. In Photoshop image resize bicubic to 320 pixels tall
4. Canvas resize (under image resize option), select pixels and select width to be 480 pixels and agree to the crop.
5. Smart Sharpen filter. Select 100% amount, 0.1 pixels radius, remove lens blur
6. May or may not be necessary, convert to srgb profile
7. save as a maximum quality jpeg, with profile attached (may not be necessary for the profile, depends how dumb the BB OS is at image handling), either optimized or standard will work.. this image is standard just in case. For all I know it'll accept PNGs too. I haven't tested. jpg is for sure though
