    Bold sent messages folder

Have just bought a Bold and connected it via IMAP to my office e-mail..but not directly, instead via a "shell"-mail.. this due to the fact that we are 9 people connected to the same head e-mail account..

Now to my problem: E-mail sent messages are not displayed in the Bold..Our e-mail support tells me that they are pushed to the 'sent messages' folder.. but where can I find this in my bold??

Thankful for all the help that I can get!

Btw, should mention that I am using a Swedish operator account.

Hi and welcome to EB kbratz:

I am really not sure what you mean by the "shell" mail and a head email account.

Does that mean all nine users have the same email account user name?

You can find your Sent Items folder with the Messages Inbox open > BB Menu key > View Folder > look for the Sent Items folder in the tree.

Pushing emails to the sent folder is a new one on me.

I hope this helps, but if not please post more details. It is interesting...

Yes, all nine users are using the same email account. We use an e-mail program called Message Manager..(common in Swedish shipping industry) Frankly I don't really understand how the system works, but our IT consultants inform me that they can't connect via IMAP directly to this e-mail. Therefore they have set up a second e-mail, which receives a copy of every e-mail going into the head e-mail account. The second account is the one i'm syncing to my bold.

"You can find your Sent Items folder with the Messages Inbox open > BB Menu key > View Folder > look for the Sent Items folder in the tree.
    "

When entering the folder tree, this is all I find:
    Browser Messages
    Facebook Messages
    -Inbox
    Spam
    -Inbox
    Spam
    -Inbox
    Spam
    Missed Calls
    MMS inbox
    MMS Outbox
    Phone Call Logs
    SMS Inbox
    SMS Outbox
    SMS SIM Card Inbox
    WAP Push Messages

As you can see I have 2 other mails connected to the Bold. But nowhere is to be seen any Sent Items..?

The IT support guy mentioned something about perhaps subscribing to an Sent service..? Don't know what this means, but I should at least be able to see my outgoing messages from my gmail account?

    Thnks for yr assistance!

I am not familiar with your setup, but let's try a couple of things. First, O see you have Facebook installed. That tends to mess with the default mail settings so first, go to Options > Advanced Options > Default Services > Messaging > What is the default account set to? Is it the account you expect?

If that is okay, with your Messages Inbox open, press ALT + O. Do you see any of the missing messages?

If not, with the Messages Inbox open > BB Menu key > Options > What is Hide Sent Messages set to?

If none of this helps the problem may be something in the way your IT Department has the email system set up. I am assuming your are not connected to a BES System because messages would not be sent to a Sent folder as far as I know.

Are you connecting to an Exchange Server? Do you use Outlook as your desktop email client? There may be something wrong with folder redirection.

See if this BlackBerry Knowledge Base article gives you any help.....
