Will or does your old phone sync with outlook, google? Can you get the files from it on a pc in some format?I don't use bb desktop but there maybe an option to transferr contacts there.

Hi srav_ca and welcome to EB:

Are you trying to send one contact or the whole address book? I am assuming you have paired the two devices and they are trusted?

It is possible the format of the Q contacts may not match the format used by BB. Do you have pictures included with your contacts?

When you set up your new BB did you install the BlackBerry Desktop Manager to your PC? There is a Change Device Wizard which may move the contacts for you.

plunker is correct that the easiest way is to use Outlook or Google as the BB was originally designed as a business device and most businesses use Outlook that is what works the best. Google is a newer solution that many have excellent luck with.

One other possibility is to check with your carrier. Most have equipment in their brick and mortar company-owned stores that allows them to move the data from one device to another while you wait.

Myself, I would take the two devices to your carriers local corporate store, or one of the "cellular super store" ( they charge ) and have them do it... 2 minutes tops.
