Hi Joe:

Not sure I understand...When you say the stock pictures and your title says backgrounds I assume you mean the selection of preinstalled background installed into memory?

I thought they were built into the OS and if removed I would have guessed those would be reinstalled if an OS was loaded.

However, let me look around as the usual question is how to remove them.

Which Curve do you have and what OS is installed currently?

Hi Joe:

Here is what I can tell you....The files are based on the OS you have installed and the files are stored on your computer's drive. Assuming you are using a PC, here is the path and take note that the BB Wallpaper File – Is device dependent:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research in Motion\Shared\Loader Files\Your Specific Device and BB OS Version Here\Java

Specific file in the Java folder:
net_rim_bb_media_320x240_b.COD

NOTE: v4.5 has renamed the file to net_rim_bb_medialoader_320x240_b

Why you don't have these I can't imagine and if you have deleted them to save space for example, I believe you will have to to download a fresh copy of the OS and install to your PC and then reload to your device.

I am not an OS expert, so I suppose there may be another way to do this.

I hope this is of help....

I know this post is a little old, but I lost all my pre loaded pictures when I upgraded to 4.5. Is there any way to get those back?
