hello
apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, but i have had my BB Curve 8900 for several months, and the GPS has never worked. i have tried it in loads of locations, and it just gets stuck on searching for satalites. any tips?

The only think of is that its not turned on. Options/Advanced/Gps

Hi and welcome to EB:
Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan with your carrier? In order to use the GPS function I believe you must have the BB Data plan, not just a WiFi Internet connection.
Who is your carrier, TMobile?
If you do have a BB Data Plan and not just a standard data plan, it could be you are too close to buldings or indoors. Are you outdoors in an open area? If so go to Options > Advanced > GPS > Menu > Refresh GPS and give it a number of minutes to stabilize and locate the signal.

Hi
If you have Verizon for your carrier, at least on the Curve 8330, they lock the GPS. This means that only VZ Navigator is allowed to use the GPS. If you try to use an application such as BlackBerry Maps, Where, or Poynt, it gets stuck searching for satellites.
