First, it would be helpful if you would post your question in the proper forum.

I am moving this to the Curve forum.

I suggest that you take a look at this thread to see if it helps you. Since you have an 8330 I am assuming it is a CDMA device with a carrier like Verizon, Sprint, etc. In post #2, you want to make sure the option dollface refers to is set to YES instead of NO.

There is a different procedure for SIM based GSM carriers like AT&T, TMobile, etc, which would have Curve models 8300, 8310, 8320:
Settings > Options > Advanced Options > SIM Card > BB Menu key > Edit Sim Number. That allows you to edit your number on the SIM so when you display your call log it shows your number....

Steve maybe you could ask to have a field added to the profiles for carrier and device?

Been asking for some time plunker. Odd thing is that the profile info includes those fields, but they aren't displayed. I haven't heard from chris about it so maybe you could drop a note to him also.
