Default CDMA Pearls - Any Issues?

Hey, all,
just picked up the dark purple Pearl on Sprint, and I was wondering what (if any) issues you all have, if you own a CDMA Pearl. Thoughts are welcomed!

I have a silver 8130 with Verizon, and it is pretty buggy, the pearl isn't totally responsive either, it gets stuck often. Then my BB Messenger crashes from time to time. I like the phone, but I can't wait for another firmware release to stabalize it's 4.3 OS.

The only bugs/lockups that I have seen on my Pearl have been because of 3rd party software...I moved from the 8703e (rock solid) to the Pearl in order to take advantage of the multi-media capabilities.

I have not been disappointed.

Sad thing is, I have no 3rd party apps installed...

T-mobile does not use CDMA pearls, so it's not the same device, T-mobile has the 8100 and 8120.

I was aware of the GSM, but I was afraid it was a Pearl problem, not necessarily the version. That is probably still a left over concern from my Treo days. The 650 had issues whether it was a CDMA or GSM, but even there they did have individual issues such as the SIM card tray problem not present in the CDMA.

Thanks for the wake-up!

As a former Treo user as well, it's hard to trust any device...lol. The reason why the GSM shouldn't have the same issues is becuase they should still be running 4.2 whereas the CDMA ones are running 4.3 which is pretty buggy right now. TGIF!!!!

The only issues I have had are due to memory becoming full and the call log deleting, I guess I have lost e-mails too due to the same issue, I have for the most part overcome by installing a soft reset app that restores memory the same way removing the battery does it. Also it has helped to close app's when not in use. I really love my pearl!

Hi braxtoq:

Thanks for the insight. Who is your carrier or is it CDMA or GPS?

What is the program you installed and is it freeware or paid?

I do start to wonder if I am back on the Treo boards reading about a program to reset the device instead of pulling the battery....
