Getting photos from internal memory on 8130 to PC
Good evening from Wisconsin,
I have a client with a Blackberry Pearl 8130 who has taken pictures he would like to save on his PC. He does not have an insertable memory card, so the pictures are residing on the Pearl's internal memory.
From what I have read online, it doesn't look like the pictures can be transferred to the PC even using Blackberry Desktop Manager v4.5 when the phone is connected to the PC using a USB cable.
A solution where he could copy them over using Windows Explorer would be ideal as everything he does with his computer needs to be *really* simple.
Is his (and thus my) only option to purchase a memory card and move his pictures from Pearl's internal memory over to the memory card, thus allowing for Windows Explorer-type access, or is there another option?
Thank you in advance,

Hi isaac and welcome to EB:
With Desktop Manager running and the Pearl connected to the PC, he should be able to select Media Manager from the Desktop Manager and use that to move anything from the internal memory to the PC in a Windows Explorer fashion....

BTW, it would be wise to install a card so the internal memory isn't run down by photos. They can chew up the memory pretty quickly and his Pearl could start to act real funky.....
Just a thought.

+1 to what Steve said.
I would highly recommend that your client purchase a sd card to save his pictures on. Once inserted into the device, you can change the settings to save all pictures to the memory card, by default. Saving pictures to the internal memory will eat up his memory faster than... well (insert pun here).
I did not have a problem transferring from my device to my computer using desktop manager. It is a little tricky to figure out at first, but it's pretty straight forward using Desktop Manager and Roxio Media Manager.
Good luck.
