Hi Again:
Finding and accessing the BB core files is a bit more convoluted than I am used to and I am still learning the process. One thing I do know is that in order to see items like the Theme files, which are COD files, you have to actually install your operating system to your PC. Once that is installed, you can use Windows Explorer (assuming you use Windows) to troll through the various files.
For example, my Themes are installed to the following on my PC:
Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\8830-v4.2.2.176_P3.0.0.76\Java
You will note that this file is specific to my BB8830. Also, if you try to search your PC for this information you probably will not locate the "Shared" folder, which is created when you install the OS to the PC.
When installing your OS to your PC it is imperative that you make sure you install the exact same OS version on the PC that your device has.
Here is a link that you can find your carrier and your OS from. D/L to your PC and double-click to install.
I am still learning about what can and can't be removed so I am moving slowly. As I understand it, almost any COD files can be removed to save space, but of course you have to leave the theme you are currently using. The BB OS is pretty strange after years of Windows and Palm experience and I only wish I had more time. I am pretty sure much of the difficulty is related to the security of the RIM systems too.
Proceed carefully....

A question I do have though is is there any way to access the folders other then the 6 that show up in Windows explorer, I see that the SYSTEM folder is empty, I made all the necessary changes to see if there was anything in there, but nothing, what about the themes I installed, where are they located ? Any help would be appreciated..Thanx
