Can someone please show/tell me where i can get a full flashing software for free?

hi, i am looking to fully flash my blackberry 8130 (that is already with cricket) so that i am able to have mms and web. can someone please please please please please send me or tell me where to find the software to do that. it would mean soooooo much. i am honestly broke so i cant afford a whole 40,50, even 60 dollar flash. kind of why im currently on cricket....just help someone out in good conscience if you know anything. please. it would mean so much. thank you and god bless.

Hi and welcome to EB:

Not quite sure exactly what you mean by "fully flash", but I will guess you are looking to get features to function for free without paying for data plans. First, the BB Browser will not access the web unless you subscribe to a BlackBerry Data plan. If you have a "regular" data plan with your carrier you may be able to get web access using a third-party browser such as Opera Mini. You would have to download that to a PC that has BB Desktop Manager installed so you can connect the BB and install Opera to it. You cannot do OTA application installation without the BB data plan.

If your model BB has WiFi you will be able to connect using Opera, but again, the BB Browser will not function without the appropriate Service Books that are pushed to the device by a carrier that supports BlackBerries.

MMS is restricted by the carrier you use. If your carrier, Cricket, supports MMS and your plan includes it then it should work. If not, you will not be able to use the function.

now i have been learking around researching trying to figure out a way to fully flash (which means to get working wap and mms along with talk and text) working on the cricket network. so far i hear about the need for service books that allow a blackberry to instead access the internet and mms through the cricket internet instead of directly going through the blackberry service. now all i need help with is locating these service books or any suggestions on how to do it. i have qxdm and qpst downloaded, and the phone already has talk and text i just need to know how to activate the wap and mms. any help would be much appreciated. thank you in advance. and please feel free to make comments or give your ideas.


and fyi, the only reason i dont feel like going through someone who is going to charge me outrageously is because i have been through the process of going through someone else and it is nothing but trouble. just for all those who think i should just go pay someone to do it instead of going through all this trouble.

I think my original explanation was clear enough. You are looking to get something for nothing and that is not the way the world works.
