I am not aware of a BB app for the purpose of wishing a good BDay and such. There may be one, but I haven't seen it. I am still old school and I may use Outlook or the BB calendar to remind me of a BDay or Anniversary, but I still take the time to send an old-fashioned card with real handwriting and everything.
To me it shows the recipient I cared enough to take a few minutes ahead of time.
But being a old fart I understand I am probably a dinosaur. I actually still send out Christmas cards to about 90 people. Each one hand signed, with a personal greeting and a little hand-drawn graphic. Every year I mail them at 7:00am the day after Thanksgiving and this past year was at least the twentieth year of that tradition.
And for me, the people that send the pre-printed cards with computer printed labels and no sign of a human touch at all? They get tossed as I look at them like the sender is treating it as a task instead of something they want to do. People who send me a birthday ecard? Delete, delete, delete....
But again, that is me and my attitude.
There are desktop programs that interface with Outlook which seem to do something like you are looking for....

You do make a really good point. I guess with having a blackberry I want it to do everything. Wish I could control my dvr with it hehe that would be cool.
But one app I'd love is one to send a text to someone when they call but don't answer. Like I can set a preset message that could be like, I'm sorry I can't answer right now, I'm watching a movie or in a meeting but ill call back as soon as I can. Something like that. The q has an app for that, and it does other stuff too.
