Default minuet is a waste

Some of the problems I had with minuet.....

Most bookmarks already loaded with minuet don't work (some do).

Web crawler does not work. Error message: minuet requires BES or a service provider. It just says on bottom banner "connecting..." but there is no status bar showing progress.

Ebays loads but a search doesn't give any results. I tried an ebay search around the same time with BB browser and I got search results.

Amazon error message: a different version @ amazon.com/access. Tried that and message was minuet can not open. I have no problem with amazon when I use the BB browser.
Pinstack - cannot open.

CNN - cannot open.

TVGuide - opened "read recap" and message was can not open. I have a link to TVGuide that I have used without any problems. Some articles opened I think but listings did not work (graphical layout)

Intellicast weather - finally FAQs opened. Nothing else on that site worked. I even tried changing preferences but still got some pictogram for a camera and "loading....." next to it.

Go.com didn't load completely. (It loaded fine without minuet using BB browser.) I tried some links from main page they did not work under "games by family fun" I tried several different games because it said you can play them online. Not with minuet. Jeopardy, Weave Words, and one or two others did not work. This site has a graphical layout with BB browser. (Minuet doesn't load graphics even if I change preferences for graphics.)

Under movies on go.com I was able to read info on "When in Vegas" which was all text I think.

I tried craigslist because that site doesn't have any graphics. Discussion forums asked for frame; I selected bottom/top choice. I didn't see anything (screen blank). Went back to main page and tried postings. The 1st one was fine but the second posting under community didn't load. The front page has the current month which in minuet comes up each day on a separate line (not in traditional weekly layout).

And craigslist main page is a long process to scroll because of how minuet displays it. I tried changing display under preferences and that never really changed things on most sites. (Everything, every single link on CL's main page is on a separate line.) It did change the layout on another forum I post on with BB browser without any problems. With minuet some settings don't show the link to open up subforums. It just shows # of posts and pictogram and "loading.....". But not links or buttons.

Overall this browser is clunky. It doesn't have any advantages at all. In fact BB browser has so many more menu options. I have no idea how to post a link in minuet. I can copy a web address, email it, and text it. I don't see that option in minuet. I think minuet is described as "streamlined" which is a euphemism for fewer menu options.

Some sites load and work and I assume they are mainly text like Sports Central.

I sent an email to support@triprince and did not receive any response yet. I tried the triprince website and it says "see users guide.". I looked but couldn't find any link to a users guide. The s/w didn't come with a help document. I have tried to make this browser work but it is useless.

I have a curve (8310).

Hi and welcome to EB....

I must tell you I have never heard of Minuet before reading your post. I tried a quick search and found very little except for the usual PR stuff. User comments and discussions all seemed to be dated two years ago from 2006, which I don't view as encouraging.

I hope you were trying the free ten day trial and didn't spend $19. I also am guessing you did try the proper version for the Curve?

I am about to lose power in the house for a number of hours so my service panel can be upgraded and when it returns I will search around a bit more to see what I can find. Now I am intigued.....

Yeah I'm sure I have the right version for my curve; I got the pearl/curve version.

Some sites work but most don't. I actually paid the $20 for it thinking no one would really sell something useless. Minuet is useless to me. I use the BB browser. I've downloaded opera mini for free and can't complain about opera mini but still end up using the BB browser for the most part. (Opera mini takes some getting used to so the BB browser is easier.)

Minuet doesn't come with any kind of help document. I have tried sending triprince (the developer) an email and even the site that sold it to me and haven't gotten any satisfaction or any response at all.

The triprince website says something about "see user guide" but I couldn't find a users guide link on the site that worked. Everything about this experience has been messed up.

I came across some review that was positive and also said the support was good too. I think that must have been written by an employee of triprince.

Some developers (and sales websites) are about taking your money and leaving you frustrated.
