Mike:

As I asked in another thread, what is your association with the application? Do you work for the company and if not, why are you posting about a beta app indicating you know how great it is/will be?

I am in students government in my college (NJIT,NJ) and few of students here had major accidents because they were texting while driving. So we took on taking actions to make a difference.

Honestly i don't have a BB but my roommate and friends have it and everyone around is pretty much excited about this application ( http://www.drivesafe.ly/ ) So i thought "why not promote it ?"

Mike:

Thanks for the clarification. It is understandable.

For the life of me, I can't understand why anyone would or could think that texting while driving is a good idea. The fact you know people who have done it and had accidents should give others pause.

Unfortunately, many believe nothing will happen to them. The saddest part of anyone thinking this is a swell thing to do is that chances are when they have an accident (not if, but when) it will also involve innocents who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

<sigh>
[\end rant]

You are absolutly right. Whenever i go out in my car i see couple of people texting while driving and it pisses me off and i am talking about not just student. There are not much rules aganst it. Somehow putting this awarness in people about this issue will might save some inocent lives.

Funny how all of a sudden there are multiple new members who have discovered this app and just have to sing its praises.

Enough...I am deleting the app name and link, but in case you would like to continue to be a member or explain how this is just coincidental, I will not do anything to affect your registration....

I hope you do want to be a member and I invite you to visit and post often...Just not about that app again. Not without some kind of rational explanation......
