Default Archived Programs

I installed two programs from App World and decided they weren't for me. After uninstalling them, the icons are still on my Storm and they indicate they are archived.

What is up with that? Shouldn't the icons go away after the uninstall?

How did you do the uninstall and what were the applications?

I did the uninstall from the Applications screen.

The two apps were Flashlight and PatternLock Lite

Do you mean Options > Advanced Options > Applications > BB Menu key > Delete the highlighted one?

With App World sometimes when you delete the app from the BB Options it goes to an archived state instead. This allows for quicker reinstallation if you desire to.

I think if you next go into MyWorld and delete them there, they should go away completely.
