Back Light Question

Long story but had to completely reload my BB Storm from scratch. It was password attempt realted

Anyway. I got most of the stuff on it but the back light is being a pain in the a$$. Sometimes it comes on bright, sometimes it is dim. Seems to be no rhime or reason to it. When I go to options and choose screen/keyboard, the brightness is at 100, the backlight timout is 2 min. the auto dim is set to OFF and the LED coverage indicator is set to OFF.

Anyone know how to make it stay on BRIGHT until it sleeps? I had this set before it was wiped clean.

zz28, I don't have a Storm to speak from experience, but sometimes these types of issues are Theme related. Sometimes a Dimension theme will be fine, but the Today version will exhibit odd behavior.

Which theme are you using? Is it a third-party add-on?

Try playing with a few and try the carrier's default versions to see if there is a difference.

On my 8830 if the screen is dim I can press and release the Power button to force the screen to go bright and that generally holds for me.

I changed the theme back to the defalut but it still does the same thing. Very annoying!!!

You changed back to the default, but did you do a Battery Pull too?

If that doesn't help, it could be one of those things that breaks when they fix other things....
