    Message & Email folder

Did anyone have solution to this. Im also encountering the same issue for long time now. It happened after the device software update. I getm message indicator on unread message and find the email only in messages folder and not in the email folder. though i read the message in messages folder the unread email message is not gone and still show the email is unread. I removed and added the email accounts several time.I have these questions

    1) How to get emails in the respective email folders
    2) How to fix the unread message display ( I guess first solution will help this too)

Now each time im using quickpull to restart the device and it takes away battery. Also running this quickplus is really very time consuming because of the button not working properly to run this app.

Any help is appreciated. Pls help me out Im having this problem for so long.

Hi sambasivam and welcome to EB:

You have a couple of issues so let's try to address each and that will require some more information....

After what software update? What OS is your device running now?

Can you give a generic example of what you are describing? I am assuming you are on BIS, not a BES server. Maybe you have an AOL account, a Yahoo account and a gMail account and all of these were set up through BIS to come to your device. The "main" Messages folder will capture all mail from all three accounts. However, you should have an icon for each individual account on your home screen and the mail sent to each should appear in the appropriate account. This is not happening? You have the icons on the screen, but they are empty when you select and open them? Exactly what do you mean when you are referring to the "respective email folders"?

If you haven't already done it, I suggest you do two things:
    1) Reregister the Host Routing Tables Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Tables > BB Menu key > Register Now. You should receive an email indicating email has been set up.
    2) Resend your Service Books. From your carrier's BIS site.

Are you using the correct version of Quickpull for the Storm? There is a version for 4.7 touch screen devices.

Finally, the unread problem can be related to messages other than email. Often people save unread email by mistake, so make sure the Saved folder doesn't have an unread email sitting in it. Unread Browser messages is also another that hides unread messages. With the main Messages Inbox open > BB Menu key > View Folders > Look through all to see if there is an unread one hiding.

    the update was v4.7.0.173

Yes it is BIS and not BES. I have registerd a yahoo and gmail account and i have separate icons in the home(i grouped them under new folder Email). I also have SMS and MMS icon separately. Whenever i get an email it indicates about unread and when i open the email icons (yahoo / gmail) I dont see the new email but when i open the messages icon i see the message. Now after reading this email (either delete from handset or delete from both email and handset). After reading the email the unread email still indicated. Now the email folder did not recieve the email. It recieves only yhe first registration email. Now when I have deleted the message in both handset and email and login to email using computer the message isnot actually deleted. it still exists in the email as unread. So it is logically Im reading the email but not the actual email. I think im making sense here.Respective email folders are nothing bt yahoo and gamil icons.

I tried re-registering numerous times but i dont see the issue fixed. Now when i reboot the device unread message disappear though other issue is not fixed.
How to resend the service books.

Im not able to find the version. Is it possible for me to uninstall the current and find 4.7 somewhere? can you provide me help to install 4.7?

No im not recieving any messages but emails and only emails. I checked and didnt see any unread folder.

I have never heard of this happening so I have to think about it and look around.

Actually, can you take the icons out of that new Email folder? BBs don't usually play nice with subfolders....Just leave them on the main screen where they were before.

Try it and let us know....
