    QuickPull after 5.0 update

I recently d/l the new update to my storm and its runs great, however I'm having an issue with QuickPull. Ever since i d/l the new update, I cannot seem to run QuickPull at all. It anyone else having this problem? I tried contacting the maker, but it referred me to the site and all that says is that there have been some problems but they are working on it and then suggest that I go to a posting from this site (which unfortunately did not help).

When I try and run a manual pull it asks if I would like to allow QuickPull trusted app status, and I click yes but then it goes to "an error occurred while starting QuickPull. The application has been terminated." It also does it at the scheduled time for a pull. It will act like it is going to, but then the error message will pop up.

Is anyone else having this problem? I have tried uninstalling and re-installing with complete re-boots in between and it is still happening. Does anyone have an suggestions?

    Thanks!

Hi vbsp13 and welcome to EB:

There are a number of apps having problems with the 5.0 upgrade and only time and software rewrites will help many.

However, take a look at this post to see if it helps with your specific issue and let us know.

Unfortunately, I am also having trouble. I just uninstalled it and doing manual battery pulls for now until there is an update.

Yep and it didn't work. In fact, my OS (v5.0.0.328) is not on the list of "Confirmed builds".

I keep getting the same pop-up: "Would you like to grant QuickPullLib Trusted Application status?"

I keep clicking yes, it freezes on me, and then a pop up showing something about an error stating, "Something went wrong. Aborting. See device log for more details". By the time all is said and done, a manual battery pull would have been faster.

Oh crap!! Please forgive me, I am such an idiot . I was supposed to edit the **DEFAULT** Permissions. After I did that, NOW the QuickPull is working!!

If it's any consolation TexKid, I had the exact same problem. Once I saw your post on changing the DEFAULT permissions, everything's working fine.

    Thanks for your help...

Didn't help! Deleted, reinstalled, edited permission & still no-go! I get the message that my device will reboot in 5 seconds but nothing more.

    Hi Ms.Nette:

If you actually changed the Default Permissions (not just for QuickPull) as that link detailed then you may be one of the unfortunate group that for some unknown reason can't get it to work.

Just take a look at the Application list one more time. Options > Advanced Options > Applications. When you scroll through the list of apps, is QuickPull in Bold Font? If yes, try highlighting > BB Menu key > Edit Permissions > Make sure all three are "Allow" > BB Menu key > Save. NOTE that if an app is not in Bold Font in the list that means the app's permissions have already been set and you will not see Edit Permissions in the list when you press the BB Menu key. You will only see Edit Default Permissions in those cases.

    Try QP again.

What Stevetaz said. Its all in the "Edit Default Permissions" that people mess up on.
