unlocked storm email set up

I have the same problem. I just got my blackberry storm today but Im not very tech savvy so talk to me in tarzan language lol. There is no Icon for a browser at all. Please help.

Oh and I should probably say that Im at&t.

Oh yea and I do have the blackberry data plan, because I had the curve before this.

Welcome to EB. I have no personal experience with the Storm on AT&T, but I know it is done.

Take a look at this link to see if you can find the help you need. I was hoping EB member Sav might jump in to give you some guidance, but I see he hasn't yet.

Hi olatee and welcome to EB:

MTN may support BIS, but they may not have the Service Books for the Storm, I am just not sure.

Take a look at this thread over at CB and make sure you read all the way through the various pages as there are a few MTN users who post and seem to have luck.

Hello, I've been reading this thread and learning a lot about how this device works... but still need help setting up my gmail email account on an unlocked bb storm I recently purchased.

I'm using the device outside of the US, in Dominican Republic, I have a BES plan and I was previosly using a curve, where I was able to set up my gmail account. When I got the storm I used the device switch wizard... and now Im able to use the bb browser and bb messenger, I can connect to internet fine but I cannot setup the email withouth the BIS setup...

is there a way I can bypass the verizon BIS setup to configure gmail?

Recently bought and unlocked a BB Storm to use with ATT. I have Email setup and access to the App Store. I have no Browser icons nor access. I tried using Opera Mini 5 and its unable to find any network connection. Please Help if you can. Ive noticed my APN settings are still VZW. I changed the Username and Password to what they supposed to be for ATT but am unable to change the APN at the top. Ive tried using the Crackberry info ive found but am unable to get that to work. Ive done alot of research and tried alot of things, unfortunately i either am having no luck or am missing something. If anyone could help please reply, I need an idiots step by step guide to fix this. ^^
