Hi darkadonai and welcome to EB:
You indicate you have email set up so I will assume you do have a BlackBerry Data Plan, NOT a generic data plan. Just make sure of this because without a BB Data Plan this will not work.
I am also assuming you have tried the basics and Reregistered the Host Routing Tables (Options > Advanced Options > BB Menu key > Register Now) and then rebooted the BB?
Have you gone to the AT&T BIS site and insured your Storm is set up on it? The new Storm's PIN has to be registered there and then you should resend Service Books from the AT&T BIS Site. Reboot the BB.
Let us know if any of this works or if it has already been done and we will try to dig deeper.
Visit and post often and thanks for registering....

Gettin browser to work
Yes according to ATT i am on a BB DATA plan. I had setup email via att BIM website. Did it again just to make sure. Still unable to find a network connection with Opera Mini. Appworld still works and email. Thank you for your assistance in trying to get this issue resolved. I hope we can find a work around that will work. Its funny ive read posts where theyve had browser access but no appworld or email. Strange how the problems can be random access to specific abilities.

Did you resend the Service Books from the BIS site?
If so and it didn't work, try going to Options > Advanced Options > Service Books and look for and delete this:
Blackberry Internet Browsing Service [BrowserConfig]
Then go back to the AT&T BIS site and try resending the service books one more time. Reset the BB with a Battery Pull.
Anything?

After doing that, make sure that there are no icons hidden. On the home screen > BB Menu key > Show All

I did what you said, deleted blackberry browser out of service books, resent and did hard reset. By the way i noticed last night i cannot receive sms text. Wife tried to send me picture message and i was unable to retrieve it. It did look as if it tried but to no avail. So now im assuming i cannont browse the web nor receive sms msgs. Im beginning to get discouraged. Id hate to have to wait for an upgrade and go back to the iphone. I like the storm very much and do not want to get locked into 2 more yrs with contract. Please dont give up on me yet ^^.

The more you find out and tell us the more I suspect an issue with your carrier. SMS generally has nothing to do with data and that usually is transmitted over the carrier's network.
Have you tried to contact AT&T? I suppose they won't be able (or willing) to help as they do not support the Storm (yet). You might ask them to insure your account is properly provisioned for BlackBerry data.
I will continue to research...

After you deleted Blackberry Internet Browsing Service [BrowserConfig] and resent the AT&T Service Books, do you see that file back in your Service Books list?
Did you see if you can now make a change to the APN in Options > Advanced Options > TCP?
Also, when you go to Manage Connections, what is listed as the Mobile Network?

Ok, did what you said. Went and double checked APN Settings i have now changed the APN settings to what they need to be and saved them. I also checked and the BB browser config is no longer in the service books. Now what should i do? Still no browswer icon on my phone. Resend service books once again? Now that i have correct APN ? We seem to be getting closer, thank you for your persistence. Hopefully wont be long now!

If the AT&T APN information is now present, do try to resend the Service Books. It may now accept since the fields are empty.
If that doesn't work you may have to back through the whole installation process again as the zip file you probably downloaded when you first did that includes the AT&T Service Books you need for the browser. AT&T's system doesn't recognize the Storm device and may not be pushing the proper Service Books. That zip file loads the right ones.
I am referencing the instructions you probably followed at CB or BBF
