Got 2 different msg center numbers from ATT to try and get my mms to work. Ive tried both numbers and still am unable to retrieve my mms to work. In the process of resending another pic from another phone to see if it will work with the 2nd number. As far as trying to put the service books on that ive downloaded i dont ever think i got that to work correctly. Seems like im missing something in the instructions. If you could post a short guide for me it may help me figure it out further. Im still working on this end as well, again thank you for all your help in trying to get this to work. UPDATE: Tried both msg #'s and neither one is allowing me to retrieve mms msgs. grrr! Back to the drawing board.

I wish I could, but I do not have a Storm to be able to put together my own guid for you. You will have to follow either of the links I posted and use their instructions. Make sure that you read through all of the comments that follow those guides as there are individuals who posted common problems and you may find someone experiencing the same as you. Most of the problems were also addressed in the threads so carefully follow and try it.

Bottom line is that you are trying to use a network with a device not meant for it. There will be issues and stumbles, but others have been successful.

It will take trial and error as well as patience....

Hi riccardotumewu123 and welcome to EB:

I am a bit confused by the reference to CrackUtil. If it is the same one I am thinking of, from CB, it is intended to revive a nuked BB. Was there a problem with the OS of your Storm?

First, what carrier are you using the Storm on? Second, do they support BlackBerrys? Third, do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan? That is different that a "regular" Internet access plan.

If you are trying to use a BB on a network that doesn't support them and does not offer BlackBerry Data Plans you will not be able to get email the BlackBerry way, pushed to the device.

When you say you have full Internet, is that using the native browser or are you using OperaMini or Bolt?

Answer these and we will try to dignose and resolve your issues...

Thanks for registering and post often....

With unlocked Storms that are used on networks they're not intended for, you use CrackUtil to manually push the correct service books onto the Storm.

riccardo, try logging into your carrier's BIS site, make sure your device is the one setup in there, and resend your service books.

Thanks for the clarification Sav. Makes sense and if the OP is getting Internet, but not email perhaps that means he does have a BlackBerry Data Plan and may be just missing one Service Book.

However, if his carrier supports BlackBerrys, but doesn't offer the Storm how does the carrier's BIS site push the Storm Service Books? Does that have to be downloaded from elsewhere and installed using CrackUtil?

Hi nick and welcome to EB:

If you read the previous posts you know that the Service Books will be an issue. This site provides directions and a link to download the generic AT&T Service Books, which should get you working.

Take a look and let us know how you make out....

Hi az1 and welcome to EB:

A BB on Metro will be somewhat crippled for two reasons. The ESN and PIN are not assigned to their network and is not recognized. The other issue is because the network doesn't recognize the BB and because they do not support any BB except the 8330 they cannot push the Service Books you need for email and for any app that requires a BB Data Plan to work.

There is a very long thread over at CB that you may find helpful. Post #72 has a link to generic Service BookS that MAY help, but USE THESE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

The general information I got from that thread is that limited success can be achieved, but email is not likely. The other item is that most wondered why anyone would want to use an advanced BB like a Storm on an inferior network like Metro PCS. I have never used it so I can't comment.

I hope you find success. Let us know what happens.
