Hello josepher, welcome to EB.

Can you please give a little bit more details? Such as your carrier, if you've performed the full unlock for that carrier, if you're on a BES or BIS data plan (or any at all), etc. It would be a lot easier to help you figure out what's going on.

Okay, do you see any Browser or MEdiaNet icons anywhere?

In that case, that means that you do not have the AT&T service books, and since the Storm is not an AT&T phone, you can't have them send the books to the phone. Basically, the Storm you purchased is unlocked, but not for a specific carrier. Without the service books, you won't be able to use email or internet. In a little bit, check your PM's. I'll send you some instructions on how to get this working. P.S. Before anything will even work, you NEED to be on a BlackBerry data plan through AT&T, even if you follow the instructions in the PM I'm about to send you.

EDIT: PM Sent

I just purchased a BB Storm and had it unlocked, everything works just fine except the email setup. I was getting the same message as JOSEPHER, but I believe my phone has the necessary service books. What could be the problem? One more thing I wanted to note... my youtube doesn't want to play any videos.

Please help me out.

Hi dsabio and welcome to EB:

Have you tried the YouTube app made specifically for the Storm? Here is a download link you can download directly to your Storm...

Regarding the email, I am assuming you have a BlackBerry data plan with TMo (you must for email and the BB Browser to work) have you visited the TMobile BIS site to be sure the email address has been set up and activated? If so, look to the left for a link to Resend Service Books and click it. When properly activated you will get a confirmation email.

Let us know if this helps.

Visit and post often and thanks for joining EB.....

Thanks for the help. I downloaded the YouTube app from the link, when I went to play a video this is the message that I get (PlayerException: Cannot open tunel Cause: java.io.IOException;Cannot open tunnel) Still need help with this.

Yes I do have the BB Plan for the phone setup already but I never received any type of confirmation stating I needed to setup the email. I went on the TMO BIS and as soon as the page loads I get this message (We apologize, there was an error trying to access the service.) there is a link to try it again but that takes me to the main TMO site.

My browser works fine it's just the email set up with TMO and the YouTube app still doesnt work. Please help thank you

(one more thing.. one the TMO website what phone should I have as coming up as mine being that TMO doesnt have the Storm?)
