I am not eligible for a Storm2 and it would be a waste of money to buy one (I'll be 'out of the country' for a year). I did get to play with one and my wife was looking for a new phone.
My first impression is that I am disappointed that Blackberry retained the 'clickable' screen. I would have much preferred a standard screen similar on the other phones. It is good that they abandoned the screen from the first generation Storm.
I did like the feel. It was easy to use. If it was my time for an upgrade, I would probably try the Storm.
As for my wife, she chose the HTC Imagio over the Storm2. Her decision was made based on the screen. She is used to using touch screen phones and preferred the standard screen over the 'clickable' screen.

I am not eligible either. Got the Storm last December. I like the click screen. When I am eligible for an upgrade next year, I may see what is out. I am thinking that Storm 3 will be in stores. If not, 2 may get a look at that time. But who knows. 12 months in the technology and electronics industry is an eternity nowadays.

Hey <<RL>>, nice to see you again. Glad you are liking the OS upgrade. The general reaction seems to be pretty positive and users seem to be much happier with their Storms after the upgrade.

So I got a chance to mess around with the Storm 2 and I have to say I'm not really impressed. I'm not too sure I liked the new SurePress system...
I did see the Droid however and I have an idea of what my next phone will be.
