They provided me with a new 8330m Curve in Red.

Pretty odd when I look at the free memory and see 47mb+. I was excited if I saw 14mb on the 8830. :dft002:amazed

Time to learn all about it. Of course a number of my third-party apps would not transfer over as they were made for the 8830.

When I tried to use the Change Device Wizard, most apps with data were "Grayed Out" in the Advanced box and that indicates any item "grayed out" cannot be restored or transferred via USB as the device wirelessly syncs them......NOT!

Here is what I found as a work-around:

Disconnect from the USB cable > Options > Advanced Options > Enterprise Activation > Hold down ALT and press (and release) c-n-f-g > A new menu should pop up > Change Wireless Sync to NO

Reconnect to Desktop Manager and you should now see the option to restore whatever you want using the USB connection (ummm like Password Keeper).

You will have to reconnect to your Corporate Email Server using your exsting user name and password. It requires last name first; which doesn't matter since it doesn't recognize the name anyway. It recognizes phone #'s, but that defeats the purpose of voice dialing.
