In all honesty man F*CK that...talk about rip off, the screen is no better than what it was.. It constantly makes a squeeking sound, no major improvements..Another 180 just for wifi??? I look at it like a slap in the face by RIM, one of my friends went through 8 storms, then finally went to the iphone,...and after all that crap and headache with 1st storm, they just give you wifi?? no revamped screen? Im actually pretty pissed that RIM is patting them selves on the back after a craptacular performance...

Ever since the VZW update, this new voice dialing is useless (at least for me). I just cannot get it to work, even after stepping through the adaptation process.

It requires last name first; which doesn't matter since it doesn't recognize the name anyway. It recognizes phone #'s, but that defeats the purpose of voice dialing.

Anyone else having problems?

I have had my Storm on Tmobile for a while now, and have run just about all the OS's and tried different apps and settings. The Tmobile Storm is certainly a different kind of beast. So to help out other Stormers, I started a blog. You can check it out in my signature. I have constant EDGE, running 5.0.0.323 and not any issues so far. Maybe I can Help.

Hello,

I have 500 or so songs that I ripped onto my computer as WMA using Windows Media Player. Source was all personally owned CD's. All play fine from my computer.

If I use Blackberry desktop to copy them to the storm without any conversion, most will not play. WMAs from single artist albums (Bruce Springsteen, Elvis, etc.) will not play. WMA's from commercial compilations (Casey KASEM's hits of the 70's, Best of the 80's, etc.) WILL play.

If I use the BBerry desktop to convert them to MP3, they all play, but they sound like... muddy MP3's and not the clearer, lossless WMA's.

Any clues on how to play WMAs on my blackberry without restriction? Any idea what is keeping them from all playing

Thanks,
Greg

Any SplashID users around? Since the VZW update, I can't get it to work on my Storm.

Every time I try to sync, the desktop mgr indicates "Calling SplashID. Loading desktop database." Then Windows (Windows 7) throws up the "Blackberry desktop manager has stopped working." window and DM dies.

Odd thing is, the Storm screen goes white and displays:

SplashID
Sync completed
You must exit (press escape)
and relaunch SplashID
to refresh the changes

I'm posting on the SplashID forums as well, but thought maybe someone here had the same problem.
