First letter caps

I have noticed, to much aggravation, that the first letter you type is always a capital. Is there a way to disable this? I can not log into a few websites because the passwords are case sensitive.

I have noticed it only does this for me in certain situations. I don't know where the setting would be. Can you hit the shift key before you start typing to disable it for that moment?

I'll check in a little bit. On second thought, I may have tried that, but I'll see.

You should be able to press the Caps key to defeat the first letter being in caps.

This is usually not the way the BB works when entering into something like a password box. It does do that for text documents like emails, SMS, MMS, etc.
