Here's am update:
Overall, things are doing well with my Curve. I am Camp Shelby, MS and there is excellant service here with VZW for Blackberry's.
I need the internet for my notebook. I did have some problems getting PDAnet to work and abandoned it. I am only here for a month so I opted VZAccess over Tetherberry.
Ciao!

Thanks for the update and I'm glad to hear the experience is good.
One question....If you subscribed to VZAccess why did you need to purchase TetherBerry? Doesn't Verizon provide the connection software with the subscription to their tethering product?
TetherBerry did cost money, no?

LOL! "opted VZAccess over Tetherberry." means that I chose to purchase VZAccess instead of Teatherberry, which was more.

I have found that after a few months, I just do not like the ball. I prefer the 'D' to navigate around the phone. However, I'm staying with Blackberry.
A friend of mine has a Storm and we are going to trade just to play around. I might keep it.
