Hi Sherri:

And if nothing previously suggested works, you may have to contact Verizon to confirm the account was provisioned properly. They may have to resend the service books too.

Please let us know what happens.....

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Hubby was away, and had his phone with him. He is now napping (!) so I have access to his phone.

First, there is no icon that looks like a wrench. The icons on his screen are: saved messages (envelope)/Call log/BlackBerry/Messenger/calendar/address book/browser/maps/media/voice notes recorder/video camera/camera/Profiles/tasks/Memo Pad/alarm/Voice Dialing/Brick Breaker/Calculator/Password Keeper/Help/search/E-mail Settings/Options/Set Up Bluetooth/Manage connections/Keyboard Lock/Turn Power Off.

Now, when I lick on the "Browser" button, I get the word "Blackberry" across the screen. Now I'm in a screen that says Verizon wireless...After playin for a while, I figured out that if I hit the "Menu" button from her, I get a "go to" option, and from there I can enter a URL.

Web is working ! Yeah! Now some basic questions, but since I am a "guru" on the Everything Q site, I know the rules! Off to search!! (I will be back...)

Hi Sherri:

I wondered what happened to you. Glad to hear it is working now. The Options selection on the icon screen you mentioned is the one I was talking about:
"...Help/search/E-mail Settings/Options/Set Up Bluetooth..."
See, I am still new too. I thought they all included a wrench for that icon.

Anyway, that is where you can access the Host Routing Table I was speaking of. That option icon is also a path to many of the settings in the BB so you should take a look to see what is there. As a matter of fact, take a look at the Status heading in there. You will find the battery level, free memory, total memory, the device's PIN number , etc.

You can also change the Theme from there as well as many settings for the Screen,/Keyboard such as backlighting, font style and size, trackball sensitivity and many more.

It is a good place to see many of the inner workings/settings.

Thanks for letting us know.
