    Hey Everyone

Hey guys, I just joined here at EB and I really like the feel of this site! I am currently the Admin at Lg-Dare.com (username corsairkid), but I am selling my Dare and getting a Curve later this week. I needed something better for my emailing needs.

Can't wait to be an active part of your awesome community!

Hi Jeff and welcome to EB:

I am glad you like the site and I look forward to seeing you here often and I expect you to post often...

One little thing... I am deactivating the link you included for the site you are an admin for as that is a forum policy violation:
    3. No direct or indirect advertising of your blog, site or product.

The complete Forum Policy can be found here.

Perhaps you included it out of habit so I will leave the site name, but not the active link. I don't think a Dare site will siphon too many EB members off either. I hope you understand and I hope that doesn't chase you away...

Ah my mistake...I will head over to read the rules now! I should have done that before posting. I would have done the same thing on my forum.

Anyways, thanks for the welcome, and can't wait to get my Berry!

Welcome AugiePitcher. Hope you enjoy the site as well as your new Curve.

By the way, if you are staying with VZW, I'd recommend waiting a few weeks and get the Tour. The Verizon Curve 8330 is a very dated phone. TMO and AT&T both have the Curve 8900 out now which are much better than the 83XX series Curves in my most humble opinion.

You know, I did briefly consider the Tour, but the way I am purchasing the phone, I need to do it through eBay. If I purchased a Tour on ebay when it first came out, it would probably cost me very close to the retail price (which will be over $400). The current Curve fits my needs perfectly, and I can get it for a great price ($220 via eBay). I can sell my current phone (LG Dare) for around $150 which only sets me back $70.

What I may end up doing is getting the Tour when it comes time to renew my VZW contract in about a year and a half, when I would be eligible for a discounted price.

ahh didn't know you weren't eligible for an upgrade. I just wouldn't use my NE2 on the Curve with the Tour coming up. If you can get it on the cheap like that and not ruin your upgrade eligibility that's definitely a good plan. The Curve is still an awesome phone for sure, there's just more attractive BlackBerry options out there now. RIM seems to be pumping out new models fast and furiously.

    i resemble that remark

slightly off topic: I have decided i'm getting a Pre for sure yet. Just not gonna port my personal number over right away. Even if I decide to after the 30 day trial period I still will use my Bold and iPhone on my company provided service which is with at&t
