Its a new phone and a new os so doubtful it will be much. I am toying around with the idea of updating the os BUT my Curve is an MEID seems to be less information (and os updates at least "official vzw" updates) people say it's easy but then if you phone bricks you are pretty much S.O.L and get to have the fun of either reviving a Dead Berry or waiting for a replacement.

I am much more familiar with the "windows" environment so that is one thing that hinders my toying too much with my phone.

You wouldn't think the change to MEID should affect OS upgrades, but it does. You must make sure any upgrade is for the 8330m.

what came with the Curve 4.5.0.77
I had been made aware of the 8330m issue thankfully prior to even attempting an "upgrade". I .138 is the "newest" one I have seen anyway.

Some were experiencing a lag when trying to come out of the sleep mode and this update appears to correct that. If you aren't having any issues then there is no rush to upgrade. There aren't any new features, just bug fixes I think...

The issues I do have are minor and an os update is not required but I would have loved to try the leaked BBM 5.0 which seemed to require at least .131
