A little help please.
I have to say I have an iphone and love it but everyday I am having more and more trouble with AT&T and cannot be embarrassed a moment longer with dropped and failed calls. I also have a Verizon line and I am activating a blackberry curve 8330 that was giving to me. I have searched around here to see what my options are as far as syncing this with my ical, iphoto, mail, etc. from my mac. What should be my first step? I understand that there are a couple of programs out there that I saw listed in this forum to sync music and calendars but would my best bet be to get Parallels to run windows on my mac? I am not sure what to do. I have never had a blackberry before and for me the iphone was just so simple to sync and go. I hope I'm not going to hate this. Any advice would be great.

Hi Connie and welcome to EB:
I am not a Mac user, but I do know what I have read and Parallels or Boot Camp are the choices to run Windows on your Mac.
I also know that the free sync program that comes with BBs, PocketMac, is considered to be pretty useless. Some people use it and have no problems, but the vast majority throw it away and purchase MissingSync. It is not free, but everything I have seen indicates it is a purchase that is well worth the small expense.
Our resident Mac users should jump in to give more hand's on experience....Chris, Sav, plunker, et al?????

One of the resident Mac users here. Yes, PocketMac is useless. I have tried over and over again, and just won't work. If you already have Parallels installed, you can just use the BlackBerry DM like any other Windows program to go back and forth. Boot Camp requires a boot straight to Windows, and will not allow to go straight to iCal, etc. I had Missing Sync when I used a Q, and enjoyed it. Not sure exactly why I haven't gotten it for my BB yet. That would put your info where you want in Mac. I have had limited success just enabling the Mass Media storage on the BB. The Mac at that point will recognize it as a USB card reader or other external drive. It's kind of hit or miss though. For media, DoubleTwist is a nice, free utility to sync music.
Think I'm sarcastic? Watch me pretend to care.
