Also saw these cautions/tips:
Before Starting anything:
-Make sure you have a good backup of all your important data and apps.
Error Message saying to sync again:
-Trash the following file: user>library>application support>blackberry
-Restart the computer, run repair permissions (to be safe) and try again.
And this if nothing is syncing:
-The default is set to sync nothing. Seems rather odd to me.
-In the BB Desktop settings (Advanced?), you must select "Two-Way Sync" for each item you want to sync including Contacts, Calendar, etc.
General Sync Errors:
-Be sure to un-install PocketMac and/or Missing Sync.
-Be very careful to connect directly to your Mac, not through a USB hub or keyboard/monitor USB port. This is similar to PC requirements too.

"Persistent Store Migration Failed" error message is received upon opening BlackBerry Desktop Manager
Cause
Updates from previous versions of BlackBerry Desktop Manager are not supported, and will generate this error message.
Workaround
The following workarounds are available when running into this error:
Option 1
-Navigate to <User>/Library/Application Support/
-Delete the BlackBerryDesktop folder.
-Empty the Trash Bin.
-Restart BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
Option 2
-Double-click the BlackBerry Desktop Manager .dmg file to mount the disk image.
-Double-click the BlackBerry Desktop Manager Uninstaller to remove BlackBerry Desktop Manager from the Macintosh® computer.
-Reinstall the BlackBerry Desktop Software Manager on the Macintosh computer.
