Greetings!!
I am currently deciding between a Motorola Q or a Blackberry 8320. I am leaning more towards the BB 8320 because of the wifi capability. However, as I look of the different forums I'm not 100% convinced that my dot mac mail account will work with the device. I am running Mac OS 10.5.2 on a MacBook Pro.
Any suggestions or anyone with a success story???
Thanks!

Hi-
I can certainly help out. First off, if you decide on the Q, there are a variety of models. With regards to the two devices, the biggest difference I find between the two is the OS. My personal experience is that Windows is a bit more robust than the BlackBerry OS. Both will require you purchase third party software. I have used Mark/Space's Missing Sync for Windows Mobile with the Moto Q. It works great and syncs with all my iApps. They do offer a BlackBerry product, but I haven't used that. I have a PC with Vista and use that with my BlackBerry. Not exactly an ideal setup, but it works for me. Both should have no issues working with your Mac.
There have been rumors about a Moto Q 9h coming out with WiFi. It was spotted a few months back. I don't know if there is anything to the rumor, but that's what I've heard.
Which carrier are you with and/or considering?
In the end, it's really a decision based upon your needs/preference. I have a Curve and it's become my favorite little email machine. I do enjoy the vast amount of hacks and apps available for the Q. I assume you've checked out the EverythingQ forums? You'll find a wealth of info there about the Q.
Both devices are great for email. You'll probably find more apps for the Q. For built-in WiFi, I believe your only option will be the BlackBerry.
If you have an specific questions, fire away. I'd be happy to lend my opinion between the two. Good luck with whatever you select. Either way, I think you'll be happy.

Sorry, just re-read your question. Regarding dot mac, it works fine. I have my dot mac account set up (along with 5 others) and have had zero problems.

A few questions...
Thanks for the quick reply. I live in Central America and am going to be using Movistar as the carrier. Unfortunately the only Moto Q device available here is the original Q.
The more that I think about it, I'm not sure how often I would use the wi-fi feature. It seems as though the wi-fi would be a bit slow in loading pages and most places where I would have a wi-fi connection I would also have my laptop.
I really liked the thinness of the Q as opposed to the 'slightly' thicker BB.
I guess my main desire is to have email access, be able to drop it into my pocket without it being obtrusive and too be able to sync all of my iApps.
A few questions...
Since you use both what is your recommendation?
Have you ever looked at the PocketMac Syncing software?
Can you open, create and edit Word, Excel and Power point on both devices?
