    Tethering to a Mac

I am getting ready to get a new phone. And it probably will be a Black Berry. Either the Storm or Curve. Are there any issues tethering to a Mac for internet?

    Hi and welcome to EB:

Take a look at this thread from another board. Seems to indicate success for the most part, including recent Storm users.

And this thread, which includes a video and a rather lengthy discussion right up through yesterday.

These are pretty much directed at Bluetooth tethering.

Don't forget that Verizon will bill $15 a month for a tethering plan, but I believe other VZW users indicate their unlimited plans do include tethering. You should try to verify that.

here's another walkthrough from one of my buddies at HoFo. She basically took the steps from one of the links steve posted above but gives a pretty thorough walkthrough and explanation.

Thanks for the info. Already have another smartphone from verizon with unlimited data. So tethering cost is already covered in my plan.

Just make sure that you get provisioned for a BlackBerry Data Plan. Rather than repeat a lengthy post, check this thread, post #5 for details of what I mean.

Ok. One issue that I have now noticed. It happened after I set up tethering, and just recently. When I first connect, I go about 15 minutes, then I cannot load any pages or email. I disconnect and reconnect, and it seems I can go as long as I want. Any ideas?
