Who knew there was an entire Luxury World out there (besides aggie)?

Looks like the king is Vertu, which has been around since 2002. Their beauties range from the cheap ($4500) to the ridiculous ($310,000).

Oh, did I mention that Vertu is a subsidiary of....wait for it....Nokia!!!

Now it looks like TAG Heuer jumped in in with a line that starts at $4700.

Then there is the Obsession line, which is only about $2300. They also have a Continental Collection where you can get the BB Bold of your dreams. A Diamond version? Only $3700! Platinum and Crocodile? Only $2000!

However, you may want to pick your dream soon as it appears the global recession is seriously affecting the luxury cellphone market in a bad way.

It would still be no...I would rather have a lesser fancy phone that works, feed a few thousand people, provide some medical care, fix up some neighborhoods, buy some teachers supplies...bail out my country.

I guess there are those who have not been destroyed by the current financial situation in the world. I guess cell phones are like cars. For most of us commoners, the Storm is about as high end as we will see. Like a Caddy, Benz, or BMW, if you work hard enough, you can have one of these. But there are those out there who can, without thinking about it, can walk in and with the stroke of a pen, can drive off in a Rolls Royce. I just wish I was one of those.
